OSP Downloads

You're one click away from the "real" download page.

To download OSP just hop over to source.sakaiproject.org/release and follow the instructions there. Note that Sakai (and OSP, which comes with it) is a heavy-duty server application, so there's a lot involved in getting it up and running. This isn't just a quick word processor you're installing, not by a long shot! If you're not sure what steps to take when you get to the download page, here's some advice as to the differences between the versions you'll find when you get there:

Demo? Binary? Source? Yikes! Which version is right for me?

DEMO If you're looking to learn more about OSP, try the easy-install demo. It's got some sample data and a limited database setup to give you a feel for using the system. Poke around and try it out!
BINARY If you want to get started on a live installation, go with the stable binary install. Once you're familiar with the demo version and you know what you're after in an OSP installation, try this one. It's not as simple to get up-and-running as the demo, but it's wide open and all the features are available.
SOURCE If you prefer bleeding-edge over stability, feel free to compile the latest from source! Note that if you pick the most recent version it's likely to be unstable or at least under development, and may contain tentative features that never wind up in the final release! If you've got the savvy to keep up with the developers then the whole community could benefit from your participation and guidance here!
