Join the "Portfolio" Mailing List at "Collab"
OSPortfolio has its own "common-interest group" at http://collab.sakaiproject.org, called "Portfolio". Joining the "collab" community is simple -- pick a user name, a password and supply your email addres; once you're in, check your "memberships" area to join the "PORTFOLIO" worksite. Then you'll be able to post and read messages all day (and all night)!
How to join the OSPortfolio mailing list:
- Visit http://collab.sakaiProject.org/
- Click NEW ACCOUNT to create your own login
- Check your email in-box to make sure you can receive mail from the collab server
- Log in at http://collab.sakaiProject.org
- Check your MEMBERSHIP page
- Browse the JOINABLE SITES link
- Decide which sites to join, and join them
- Under "My Workspace" set your PREFERENCES if you don't want to receive each individual message as it comes through
Easy!
To peruse past messages -- that is, discussion items from before you joined up -- visit the appropriate worksite within Collab and click on "Email Archive". You'll also see the email address of the 'list' there -- that's the address to use when you want to broadcast something to the whole group. Simple!
